RAPNEC is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving road safety and emergency response in Nigeria. Established under the Corporate and Allied Matters Act 1990, we are committed to reducing road traffic crashes through advocacy, grassroots sensitization, and innovative safety interventions.

Road Accident Prevention:
We work to reduce the number of road accidents and fatalities through public awareness campaigns, driver education, and advocacy for improved road safety infrastructure.
Substance Use Prevention
We aim to prevent substance abuse among vulnerable populations, particularly youth, through evidence-based programs, counseling, and community outreach.
What We Do
Road Safety Awareness & Education
We educate the public on the causes of road accidents and how to prevent them, with a special focus on protecting children, pedestrians, and vulnerable road users..
Driver & Road User Training
We provide comprehensive training for drivers, road users, and stakeholders through driving schools, workshops, and safety campaigns.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
We foster partnerships between drivers, passengers, traffic agencies, road construction companies, and the government to create a seamless and safer transportation system.
Creating Safer Road Environments
We advocate for a 50% speed reduction in urban areas and a 30% reduction in school zones, market areas, and public settlements to protect lives.
Global partnership for road safety
As Nigeria’s lead NGO for the UN Global plan for the Decade of Action on Road Safety 2021-2030, we collaborate with international organization like iRAP to advance road safety initiatives.
