World Glaucoma Awareness Week: RAPNEC Partners with Protege Eye ClinicRaising Awareness for Glaucoma

In commemoration of World Glaucoma Awareness Week, the Road Accident Prevention Network Center (RAPNEC) is proud to announce its partnership with Protege Eye Clinic. This collaboration aims to curb sight-related issues among drivers, which are a leading cause of road crashes.
The Importance of Eye Health for Road Safety
Glaucoma, a group of eye conditions that can cause irreversible vision loss, is often asymptomatic until significant damage has occurred. As a result, many drivers may be unaware of their compromised vision, putting themselves and others at risk on the road.
The Partnership
Through this partnership, RAPNEC and Protege Eye Clinic will work together to:
- Provide free eye screenings for drivers
- Educate drivers on the importance of eye health for road safety
- Promote awareness about glaucoma and its risks
- Advocate for regular eye exams as part of driver’s license renewal requirements
Join the Movement
Together, we can reduce the number of road crashes caused by sight-related issues. Join RAPNEC and Protege Eye Clinic in promoting eye health and road safety during World Glaucoma Awareness Week.
